OBJECTIVES

The Automotive Quality Core Tools arethe building blocks of an effective quality management system. The Automotive Quality Core Tools are the buildingblocks of an effective quality management system. They include Advanced ProductQuality Planning & Control Plan (APQP), Production Part Approval Process(PPAP), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis(MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). At the conclusion of this course,successful attendees will have been provided with the knowledge and ability to utilize the concepts of processauditing to drive improvement

WHO THE COURSE IS FOR?

This course has been created to:
  • meet the competency requirements for Process / Manufacturing / Quality / Industrial / Etc. Engineers related to the AIAG Core Tools that most Automotive Customers require.
  • expand the knowledge and skills of internal auditors beyond the basics of conformance auditing to focus their audits on business value considering performance management and risk management.

COURSE CONTENTS

  • Understand the APQP requirements and process.
  • Identify how the APQP process fits with an organisation and its processes.
  • Correlate the Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) model with the APQP cycle.
  • Identify and prioritise the APQP gaps within an organisation.
  • Provide an understanding of the type of tools needed to introduce quality products in the fastest possible time.
  • Identify the key linkages between ISO/TS 16949 and APQP, FMEA, MSA and SPC
  • Evaluate the 5 phases of APQP
  • Design a functional timing plan for production and delivery of a simulated product
  • Name the features of developing a manufacturing system and its control plans, and validating the manufacturing process.
