Bureau Veritas Power provides comprehensive construction management, project management and technical advisory services to the utility-scale renewable-energy markets, including the wind, solar, battery-energy storage and transmission sectors. Our subject matter experts are advocates for your project through its entire lifecycle, ensuring success through the owner’s engineering, preconstruction and on-site owner’s representation stages. 

Bureau Veritas (BV) began providing code compliance services to the California Energy Commission in 2011. The group played a pivotal role in shepherding more than 35 utility-scale renewable generation projects to successful completion. Additionally the group supported more than 10 transmission and distribution projects across the state.

Ten years later, in April 2021, Bureau Veritas significantly expanded its renewable-energy service capabilities with the acquisition of Dallas-based Bradley Construction Management. Bradley (now Bureau Veritas) founded in 2013, has managed and consulted on the construction of more than 18,000 MW of renewable-energy and transmission projects across the entire U.S. Bureau Veritas continues to grow its completed project portfolio and geographic reach, while strengthening its position as the market leader in the management of utility-scale projects. 

Bureau Veritas has successfully managed and consulted on the construction of more than 90 solar, battery storage, wind and transmission projects throughout the United States. The following map is a visual representation of our footprint across North America.

Mark Bradley - Vice President, Power

Mark leads the power group for Bureau Veritas. He founded Bradley Construction Management in 2013 after working in the commercial construction industry for nearly 30 years. Previously a vice president and business unit leader for a global construction and engineering group, he has considerable work experience in and knowledge of the renewable energy, corporate office, luxury multi-family, and aviation sectors. Mark is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in building construction.

 

 

John Schneider - Vice President, Power

John oversees all operations within BV Power. He is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of BV. He has more than 25 years of construction experience, with the majority of his career served in leadership roles focused on the renewable-energy markets. Previously, John was the director of operations for the U.S. solar group of a multinational conglomerate and was the senior director of construction for a national, turnkey EPC solar provider. 

 

 

Tim Praska - Vice President, Power

Tim is responsible for supervising on-site staff and providing technical and commercial support to clients in the wind and transmission markets. He has more than 40 years of diverse experience in construction. Tim has worked in and supported many industries including renewable energy, transmission, corporate office, and large-scale health-care facilities. He has held leadership roles for internationally recognized construction companies supporting prominent U.S. organizations and has worked on projects throughout the country. Tim has an Associates of Arts in architectural drafting and estimating from the North Dakota State School of Science. 

 

 

Branden Bowden - Director, Solar & BESS Construction

Branden is responsible for supervising on-site staffs and providing technical and commercial support to clients in the solar and BESS sectors. He has more than 35 years of experience working as a superintendent and project manager in the renewable-energy, oil and gas and industrial construction markets. Before joining BV, Branden was a senior vice president for a national solar general contractor. He attended Utah State University and has a master electrician’s license in Utah and a journeyman electrician’s license in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming. 

 

 

Akash Chaudhari - Director, Project Management

Akash is responsible for supervising project management and preconstruction staffs and providing technical and commercial support to clients. He has a diverse range of civil engineering and project management experience in renewable-energy, with a recent focus on solar projects. Before joining the company, Akash worked as a project manager and as an office and field project engineer in the renewable-energy and general construction fields. He has a Bachelor of Arts in civil engineering from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

 

 

Julian McConnell - Director, Owner’s Engineering

Julian is responsible for owner’s engineering services. He has 16 years of experience working within the renewable-energy, IT/OT, communications and cybersecurity sectors. Julian has successfully provided services to more than 4 GW of utility-scale wind and solar projects. He has served as an EOR, a security architect and as a SCADA cybersecurity engineer for a major renewable-energy ownership group. Julian has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology from the University of Central Florida. 

 

 

Haley Mitchell (Blodgett) - Director, Business Development

Haley is responsible for sales, tracking strategic growth, developing sales strategy and fostering customer relations. Prior to joining BV, she worked for Eagle Infrastructure Services, a provider of third-party inspection, environmental consulting and civil survey, on their business development and marketing team. Haley has a Bachelor or Science in business, marketing and management, and entrepreneurship from Montana State University. She has been involved in the renewable-energy sector for more than six years and serves as the 2024 President of the Women’s Energy Network Colorado Chapter. 



 

Jared Sullivan - Director, Corporate Services

Jared is responsible for field support company-wide, corporate administration and special projects. Previously, he worked as a senior project engineer for a global construction and infrastructure group and has experience in a variety of industries, including renewable energy, health care, hospitality, corporate office, sports and government. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in environmental design. 

 

 

Mario Carbone – Key Account Director

Mario is responsible for sales and growth strategy. He has more than 20 years of experience in renewable-energy industry construction in an executive role. Previously, Mario spent 15 years in commercial construction as an estimator, superintendent and project manager with two nationally
known construction companies. He has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Union College in New York.
