Considering today’s fast-paced business climate; it’s imperative that you know the condition of your facilities' electrical and mechanical equipment. Untimely failure of this equipment can result in significant business interruption or property damage loss.
One of the best tools you can use to help ensure the safe and reliable operation of your facilities' electrical system is infrared (IR) thermography. An infrared thermography survey of your facilities' electrical and mechanical equipment is recommended by most electrical contractors on an annual basis and may even be recommended or required by your insurance carrier or local jurisdiction.
For both our highly protected risk (HPR) and non-HPR clients, Bureau Veritas services are an integral piece of the overall corporate risk solution and/or predictive/preventive maintenance programs. This service is designed to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical equipment and manage cost, business interruption, and any potential catastrophes.
Our technical and regulatory expertise helps organizations create safer environments in their operations. Bureau Veritas technicians are highly skilled and our expert knowledge of code requirements can help keep you compliant with your insurance carrier or with your local jurisdiction. Global Risk Mitigation
Risk mitigation is our core mission and IR Thermography naturally intersects with our Jurisdictional services. With expert knowledge of code requirements, inspection techniques, and quality control systems, our inspectors are the most skilled in the business. All of our inspectors are commissioned by the National Board of Pressure Vessel Inspectors as Authorized Inspectors or Authorized Nuclear Inspectors. Our staff also includes Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and American Petroleum Institute (API) inspectors.
Bureau Veritas participates on committees of the American Society Mechanical Engineers, the National Board Inspection Code, and the Pressure Vessel Manufacturers Association. We share our expertise with our clients in face-to-face discussions and through educational programs, including seminars and in-house training. We believe in providing our clients with the most competent, cost-efficient and responsive service. We consider our clients first in any action we take and support them with an entire organization dedicated to their success. Infrared electrical inspections should be performed annually. We adhere to NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 recommendations, which may lead to a more frequent inspection schedule.
