HVAC & CONTROLS COMMISSIONING

BV provided HVAC and controls Commissioning services for this nationally-known Distribution Centers. Each distribution center is approximately 1,300,000 SF and is comprised of offices, receiving, and loading docks.

These distribution centers have 50 Roof Top Units (RTUs), 10 Make Up Air Units (MAUs), 20 Exhaust Fans (EFs), 10 Roof Top Unit Heaters and 7-8 floor mounted Air Terminal Units for additional heat.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Established the controls points that needs to be monitored by the building automation system during the design phase with the Client based on implementation at previous sites.

  • The Building Automation System software upgrades by EMS Controls Verify new software upgrade by operating the HVAC equipment through its cooling and heating sequences.

    • Ensure connectivity between devices.

    • Verify information received at the front end.

  • Checked and recorded current environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, CO2,etc.) against current standards/ specifications

  • Commission all HVAC equipment based on the Sequence of Operation and run the units through cooling and heating cycles and that it meets the manufacturer recommendations for control and interface as required per current client standards/specifications and to optimize equipment/space operating efficiencies

  • Generate a working punch list.

  • Provide final Commissioning Report with photolog and load onto the client's Sitefolio.

SOLUTION
BV's work resulted in creating Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) to reduce consumption and to allow for better energy efficiency.
