California Residents - "Sale" of Personal Information:
We do not sell Personal Data for monetary consideration. However, we share data with advertising partners (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn) for targeted advertising, which may constitute a "sale" under California law.

Verification: To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before processing requests.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance):
Our Site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, contact legalnotice@bureauveritas.com and we will delete it.
California Minors (Ages 13-17): We do not sell Personal Data of consumers we know are under 16 without affirmative authorization.
CANADIAN PRIVACY RIGHTS:
Under Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws, you have the following rights:

COPYRIGHT CLAIMS

Data Retention:
We retain your Personal Data only as long as necessary, typically:
- Customer transaction records: 7 years after last transaction
- Marketing consent records: Until opt-out + 3 years
- Job applications: 1 year after application
- Website analytics: 26 months
International Data Transfers:
Bureau Veritas operates globally. Your Personal Data may be transferred to countries outside the United States, including France (our headquarters). We protect these transfers using European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and other lawful mechanisms.

Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bureau Veritas North America, its parent company (Bureau Veritas SA), subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
- Content you submit through the Site
- Your unauthorized access or use of the Site
We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification. You may not settle any claim without our prior written consent if it imposes obligations on us or admits fault on our behalf.
Governing Law and Disputes (North America):
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas (without regard to conflict of law principles) for US users, and the laws of Ontario for Canadian users.
Class Action Waiver: You agree to bring claims only individually, not as part of a class action.
Claims must be filed within one (1) year after they arise.
