Bureau Veritas offers advanced Spectral Machine Learning services that combine spectroscopy and data science to deliver objective geological information at low cost per sample. Our method transforms every routine laboratory sample into a valuable digital record, providing detailed insight into mineralogy, chemistry, and ore processing parameters.

Using benchtop ASD and FTIR instruments, light spectra are captured to identify each sample’s unique mineral “fingerprint.” This spectral data is modeled through machine learning to predict key properties such as mineralogy, comminution, recovery, and geometallurgical behavior—helping clients realize the full value of their mineralogical and metallurgical data.

With over 700,000 client samples processed annually across four global locations, our approach allows laboratories and mining operations to:

  • Map plant performance directly into mine models
