Bureau Veritas is a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). As an NRTL, we have a scope of standards that we are allowed to evaluate products under based on third party auditing of our quality system and laboratory. An NRTL mark demonstrates that a client’s product has been tested by Bureau Veritas and that it is under our follow-up program to ensure continued compliance.

Global Safety & GMA Certification
The Bureau Veritas Littleton lab is a Certification Body Test Laboratory (CBTL), authorized to certify products to the CB scheme for any standard within the lab’s scope. Bureau Veritas has many IEC and ISO standards under its accreditation serving variety of standards including but not limited to MED, MEAS, ITAV, MISC, OFF categories.
The CB scheme is an audited process that promotes uniformity in testing and reporting. CB testing can only be performed by qualified CB engineers/labs with CB approved equipment. CB scheme reports are universally accepted. However, certain countries have their own deviations to specific standards that need to be considered.

ASCA Medical Device Certification
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) launched the Accreditation Scheme for Conformity Assessment (ASCA) program to help medical device manufacturers fast-track pre-market submissions and decrease the need for additional information related to conformance with standards.
The Bureau Veritas Littleton lab is an ASCA-accredited testing lab capable of conducting testing to many of the accepted FDA consensus standards for Medical Safety (60601 and 80601 series), Medical EMC (60601-1-2), and Laboratory Safety (61010-1).

Energy Star Certification:
