Produced Water/Chemical Analysis

Produced Water/Chemical Analysis

Bureau Veritas has the experience and knowledge to provide full anlaytical solutions for produced, industrial or chemical analysis. Our services include basic and complete production water analysis for scaling tendency prediction, thermal water packages for boilers along with the polyacrylamide testing used in enhance oil recovery programs. Bureau Veritas additionally provides full amine and glycol testing in support of industrial facility operations.

  • GLYCOL ANALYSIS (WATER)

Bureau Veritas understands that glycols, amines, and sulphinols have a huge influence in the overall plant operation and if not tested on a regular basis, production limitations could occur in the future. We have the ability to analyze the chemicals involved in processing and provide the analytical data needed to optimize production.

  • OPTIMIZE PRODUCTION - ID OF UNKNOWNS

OPTIMIZE YOUR PRODUCTION - IDENTIFY UNKNOWNS!

Maintenance challenges within the oilfield industry are inevitable and invariably operators will encounter deposits such as scale, sludge and precipitates of unknown composition or origin that pose risks to equipment, productivity, product quality, and safety.

In support of our customers, Bureau Veritas has developed standardized processes to provide both qualitative and quantitative data to assist customers in problem resolution.

We can identify your unknown solids in routine samples like sludge and pipeline deposits where typical offenders include precipitated asphaltenes or in non-routine samples using digital imagery, solubility testing, mass balancing, x-ray defraction or particle size analysis.

  • PRODUCED WATER

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW YOUR WATER COMPOSITION

Water is a large part of the oil and gas and the oil sands industry in Alberta and operators must ensure that there are no undue negative impacts on the environment. Whether it is fresh, formation/produced, process, injection, or recycled water, it is important for companies to know the water composition for use and disposal as well as scaling, corrosion and compatibility issues when using and mixing waters.

Bureau Veritas offers a wide variety of analysis to meet industry needs including Produced Water Analysis, Corrosion Water Analysis Package or a full suite of metals, ICP 32 element scan (dissolved and/or total) for industrial water, identification of formation water, scaling tendencies, water compatibility analysis and special projects.

  • THERMAL WATER ANALYSIS PROGRAM

BUREAU VERITAS HAS DESIGNED A PURPOSE-BUILT ANALYTICAL SOLUTION TO ADDRESS THE SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS OF CORROSION, DEPOSITS AND SCALE IN STEAM GENERATORS

Our investment in a partnership with the Oil Sands Leadership Initiative (now COSIA) led to an improved understanding of migration patterns and the fate of these inorganics and organics in thermal water systems.  Bureau Veritas' Thermal Water Analysis Program will provide operators the data they need to optimize their boiler throughput and improve ROI.

“With Bureau Vertias's new, purpose-built Thermal Water Analysis Program, customers can now take appropriate corrective actions to optimize production and profitability.”   — Phil Heaton, Vice President, Petroleum Operations
