Bureau Veritas is dedicated to providing high-quality service to the mining and exploration industry. We follow strict quality assurance (QA) standards to ensure you can always rely on the solutions we deliver to you.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND ISO REGISTRATION

All Bureau Veritas laboratories and sample preparation facilities fall under the Quality Management Scope helping to ensure the same practices and procedures are followed throughout the organization. As of January, 2021, with the full alignment of the ISO 9001 and 17025 standards, Bureau Veritas has decided to maintain only ISO 17025 accreditation for its minerals facilities. Sample preparation locations are monitored regularly for quality control and quality assurance practices and are listed on the site-specific scopes of accreditation.

To ensure ongoing quality assurance, Bureau Veritas participates every year in the CANMET and Geostats round-robin proficiency tests. We are a recognized participant in the CALA Proficiency Testing Program.

QUALITY CONTROL IN TESTING

Samples submitted are analyzed with the strictest quality control. Blanks (analytical and method), duplicates, and standard reference materials inserted in the sequences of client samples provide a measure of background noise, accuracy, and precision. We also use Certified Reference Material (CRM) or In-house Reference Material to monitor accuracy. In the absence of suitable CRMs, however, In-house Reference Materials are prepared and certified against internationally certified reference materials such as CANMET and USGS standards where possible. We will also externally verify the samples at a minimum of three other commercial laboratories. Using these inserted quality control samples, each analytical batch and complete job is rigorously reviewed and validated prior to release.
