BRIDGESCAN

Quantitative In-Depth Bridge Deck Inspections

According to the American Society of Civil Engineers, there are over 617,000 bridges across the country and currently, 42% of all bridges are 50 years old or more. Not only are they aging, but 7.5% of all the nation’s bridges are considered structurally deficient. Given the number of vehicles on the roads each day, an inspection of America’s infrastructure is top of mind and one of the best methods to inspect any bridge deck and the approaches to the bridge is through the use of BridgeScan®.

BridgeScan® eliminates the need to perform the draconian inspection method of chain dragging and replaces it with a full condition assessment with quantitative results through the deployment of Advanced GPR technology and specialized analysis software.
